As an in-house designer, I once out-designed a large UX agency and saved our company over $500K in future design fees (3 designers + 1 lead + 1 manager).


The agency’s first round of mockups were subpar, yet they presented them as examples of strong UX. I produced better designs to show our team that we needed to raise the bar on our expectations for the user experience.


Shortly after, I became the design lead and took over the project, while the agency was informed that they were no longer needed.

This product was so successful that it led to the formation of a new company providing reporting services for Wendy's franchisees (and beyond).
